Tells about his job at Lan Handling Technologies

The best part of my job? The team I get to work with!

How I keep developing:
I joined Lan right out of school, back in January 2012, to complete my final internship for my electrical engineering degree. Now I manage a software team. Over the years I have learned a lot about the ins and outs of our sector, for example by visiting exhibitions and seminars. Staying abreast of the developments in this sector ensures you remain an attractive discussion partner for customers. I also find talking to customer’s about their needs and perspectives keeps me up-to-date!

My advice to new colleagues:
Don’t stop learning or asking questions. We can all learn from each other. In the end, it’s a team effort and together we come to the best solution.

My day in a nutshell:
As a lead engineer software for our Halfweg office, together with my software colleagues, I am responsible for the design, development and implementation of the software that operates our end of line packaging systems. This includes the entire process: from discussing customer requirements to commissioning at customer facilities the world over.

What drives me at Lan:
The best part of my job is the team I work with on a daily basis. We have a very young and dynamic team in Halfweg, which keeps us on our toes and ensures we are quick on our feet when coming up with new and better ideas. We are all fully behind supplying our customers with the best technical solution and not leaving until the job is done.
