Mechanic

Also known as: the traveling technician

What does your day look like?

"Une baguette et deux croissants s'il vous plaît."

Today is your last day in France. You and a few colleagues spent three weeks working there to install a can line for preserved vegetables. After breakfast, you leave for the customer. One last time you check whether everything works properly mechanically and you ensure a good transfer to your software colleague who flew in yesterday. It runs smoothly! Nice, back to the Netherlands.

Once back in Tilburg you immediately join a team meeting for a new project in America: a very extensive line for cat food pouches, including 4 robots, drying systems and a shuttle. As a mechanic you are part of a project team that consists of electrical, mechanical and software specialists. In the coming weeks you will start to assemble the individual modules. Because you are involved from A to Z, you see the line slowly coming to life! Great for you and your colleagues from engineering: the 5,000 m2 production hall (wow!) is separated from the office by a large glass wall.
